Eastern Construction is the Construction Manager for a new administration office for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).
The project is located at 5 Shoreham Drive, Toronto. The building is a 4 floor, 85,000 square foot, mass timber structure on concrete foundations. There is a partial basement containing a mechanical room.
The project will showcase sustainable construction and is targeting low energy consumption, LEED Platinum Certification, Zero Carbon Framework Certification, Well Building Silver Certification and Toronto Green Standard – Tier 2.
The construction time frame is June 2019 through April 2021.

Eastern Construction invites interested subcontractors to submit prequalification information consisting of:
- CCDC - Document 11- 2016
- List of similar projects completed in the last 5 years
- LEED Experience
- Union Affiliations (Mandatory)
- Letter from recognized Surety indicating capacity of providing 50% Performance and 50% Labour and Materials Bonds on the prescribed Construction Act form.
- Copy of Liability Insurance Certificate
- CAD 7 Form (WSIB)
Prequalification’s will be reviewed with the following rating – Company Profile and Project Record (60%), Safety and Financial (30%), Quality of Submission (10%).

This prequalification intends to establish a short list of subcontractors for a subsequent competitive bid process. By responding to this prequalification, the interested parties agree and consent to the terms. It does not bind or constitute an offer of any nature or kind by the TRCA or Eastern Construction. This Prequalification does not commit the TRCA or Eastern Construction to in any way select a group of bidders and we reserve the right to reject all applicants and terminate the prequalification process at any time. The project team has sole discretion over the selection of subcontractors, if any, that will be contacted to submit a tender price.
