Facility Management and Building Maintenance Saskatoon
Eden Care Communities respectfully acknowledges that our homes, program space and offices are located on the territories of Indigenous peoples who have occupied these lands since time immemorial, including Treaty 4 (Regina and Moose Jaw), Treaty 6 (Saskatoon), as well as other non-Treaty First Nations and Metis.
These lands will continue to host many nations from all directions arriving by land, air, and water. All inhabitants are responsible to each other, to the land, to the resources and to Treaty 4 and 6 as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the river flows.

Eden Care Communities Management Inc. is a Saskatchewan owned and operated charitable organization that contributes to the well-being our of community. It is our preference to work with organizations who also make our community better.
Eden Care Communities Management Inc (ECCMI), through our Affiliated Eden Care Health Inc. owns and operates five supportive living homes in Saskatoon: 801, 803, 805, 807 Kristjanson Rd. and 839 Glacier Shores Manor.
ECCMI is looking for a Saskatoon based partner to conduct the facilities management and building maintenance of our Saskatoon homes commencing early January 2022.
The successful vendor will provide:
- Interior and exterior maintenance of our homes;
- Permissive repairs of our homes; organization of regulated repairs
- Exterior caretaking of our buildings including:
- grass trimming, irrigation start up and blow out, sidewalk sweeping/blowing, tree trimming, weed trimming, garbage (on the yard) cleaning, and snow and ice control and as required removal.
- Monthly inspections, and as required, take corrective action in the following areas:
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire drills
- Fire sprinkler system
- Smoke detectors/CO detectors (stand alone 110V hard wired detectors)
- Furnace - this includes all filters, air exchangers, vents, etc.
- Water heaters – check for any slow leaks; anode rod annual replacement
- Dryer vents (if full cleaning/blow out is required, this will be billed as extra)
- Exterior doors and windows
- Emergency lights
- Egress routes
- Exterior taps
- Downspouts
- Sinks, toilets, dishwashers, and other areas that have water/potential leaks
- General tidiness around HVAC perimeters
- Coordination of regulatory annual and semi-annual inspections and take corrective action as required:
- Fire panel inspection
- Backflow inspection
- Fire Sprinkler system inspection
- Fire extinguisher annual inspection
- Standby generator CSA282 inspections and service (where applicable)
- Any other government/city regulated inspection; and
- Emergency maintenance response outside normal working hours on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The successful partner will provide a draft Service Level Agreement detailing response times and costing model for the above services.
ECCMI requires that any work to be done must be completed using Occupational Health and Safety Standards and that all workers be able to show proof of double COVID19 vaccination.
ECCMI requires that the successful vendor will provide proof of insurance for their workers/employees.
