North Bay Hydro Distribution Ltd. (North Bay Hydro or NBH) intends to eliminate the backlot overhead lines feeding the properties on Macbeth Crescent and Rancier Street and relocate them underground within the road allowance. The primary ducts are to be installed along Rancier from Norman Avenue for approximately 180m north, and along the south and west side of Macbeth Crescent for approximately 420m. The transformer boxes are to be installed along the primary ducts, with connections to each of the junction boxes, and service lines stemming from each junction box to every residence in the service area. The location and alignment of all are to be installed as detailed on the Contract Drawings provided by NBH.
Ducts, transformers, and junction boxes are to be installed by earth excavation trenching including full restoration back to original condition. Restoration includes, but not limited to asphalt, concrete pavers, sidewalks, curbs, granulars, line painting, landscaping, shrubs, trees, topsoil and sod.
