The objective of this program is to enhance the participation of equity seeking groups in pre-apprenticeship trades training, employment and/or apprenticeship, who may not be served through ITA’s Women and/or Indigenous People in Trades Training programs.
The purpose of this Call for Responses (CFR) is to solicit Responses from qualified Respondents to assist the Equity Seeking Groups to obtain training that would secure them Sustainable Employment in trades industry. Respondents may submit, and be funded for, up to a maximum of three Responses each. ITA anticipates that any Contracts resulting from this CFR will begin Summer 2019; however, ITA reserves the right to enter into Contracts at any time during the lifecycle of the STE Program for Youth, Immigrants and Other Equity Seeking Groups, as resources permit.
Respondents to this CFR shall be able to demonstrate strong Partnership(s) with both Employer Partners and Project Partners, the ability to deliver an effective project and prior achievement of outcomes similar to those outlined in this CFR. Where the response will indicate ability to fulfill requirements in Partnership, the level of commitment that will be required from each Project Partner will depend upon the level and type of Services provided, as indicated in this CFR. The terminology used does not refer to traditional “Partnerships” within the meaning of the Partnership Act (please see Definition on page 18).
Contracts will be for an initial two-year term, with a possible renewal of up to two years (subject to funding availability, satisfactory Contractor performance and ongoing evaluation of Program and Project relevance), for a maximum four-year term ending no later than August 31, 2023.
