Description

The Insurance Council requires applicants for licensure to provide a current police information check, which may also be referred to as a criminal record check. The information provided by the criminal record check is considered in determining the applicant’s suitability for licensure.

The service provider will be expected to provide services in an online format to the individual requesting the check, including online payment. And the results of the check must be accessible electronically to the Insurance Council in at least two ways as follows: online via a web user interface which allows assigned staff to review and download the results as needed and, directly through an API, which allows the Insurance Council information systems to self authenticate, directly access and download the results.
