The Testing and Inspection consultant shall work with the Construction Manager, College Project
Manager, Consultant, and other stakeholders. The Successful Firm shall:
i. Provide engineers and technicians experienced in materials inspection and testing. Provide
engineers and technicians experienced and qualified in the use of testing equipment and
interpretation of test results.
ii. Perform inspection and testing services as requested by the Consultant or Owner, to suit the
progress of the work.
iii. Take responsibility to ascertain with the Consultant that the drawings and specifications
which are in the Inspector’s possession are always current and include all revisions,
addenda, and change orders issued to the Construction Manager which affect inspection
work.
iv. Observe the process and quality of work as is reasonably necessary during construction to
determine that the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents.
v. Perform tests required by the contract documents, record and report to the Owner and
Consultant on test results and procedures.
vi. Assist the Consultant in reviewing shop drawings, product data samples, as required.
vii. Review the Construction Manager’s records at intervals appropriate to the stage of
construction and notify the Consultant and Owner of any apparent failure by the Construction
Manager to maintain tests and inspection records in accordance with the construction
contract.
