Daylu Dena Council First Nation (DDCFN) and Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) would like to construct a new water treatment plant to serve the community of Lower Post, BC. The detailed design of the proposed water treatment plant facility is nearly completed, and the new proposed water treatment plant is ready to proceed into the construction phase of the project. The objective of this project is to construct a new WTP and provide the community of Lower Post with a source of safe, reliable drinking water.
Contractors are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this RFQ document. Prequalified contractors will then be invited to submit a Bid for the construction of the Daylu Dena Council First Nation Water Treatment Upgrade Project.
A new proposed water treatment plant will improve potable water supply quality and quantity for the community of Lower Post. The source water supply for the new WTP will be a high-quality groundwater system. Trucked water service will continue for the near future, however, the new water treatment plant design includes provision for a distribution pumping system and future piped distribution network.
The new water treatment plant is to be built on a new site. Trees have been cleared from the proposed site and some infrastructure (pipes, buried tanks, utility power service) have already been completed.
