Contract Number: 317-142-023 EV Charger Installation – North Sydney, NS

Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the installation of an EV Charger at the docking facility in North Sydney, NS.

EV Charger Installation – North Sydney, NS.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry docking site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the installation of a Grizzle-e charger and steel support column.
More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Owner Supplied Charger Installation

Conduct underground utility scan.
Dig hole to accept new steel post and concrete footing.
Supply and install new steel post and concrete footing.
Backfill the excavated area and compact the rockfill.
Supply and weld charger mounting bracket to steel post.
Install owner supplied 240VAC/1P Grizzl-e charger onto mounting bracket as per supplier recommendations.
Place owner supplied jersey barriers between charger and parking spot.

Electrical Works

Supply and install new electrical panel in existing electrical supply hut. Supply and install new splitter trough and disconnect on exterior of electrical supply hut. Splitter trough to feed new panel in electrical supply hut as well as new disconnect for EV Charger.
Excavate from electrical supply hut to charger location.
Supply and install two conduits from electrical supply hut to charger. One conduit and wire to provide power to EV Charger, one to provide communication to EV Charger. New communication cable to be tied into existing communication switch at electrical supply hut.
Backfill trench flush with existing surfaces.
Ensure charger functions as intended and demonstrate functionality to Marine Atlantic personnel.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM Atlantic time, at the North Sydney, NS site.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 2:00 PM Atlantic time, Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.
This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication.
Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) lance un appel d'offres auprès de fournisseurs qualifiés pour l'installation d'un chargeur de VE à l'installation d'amarrage de North Sydney, en Nouvelle-Écosse.

Installation de bornes de recharge pour véhicules électriques – North Sydney, Nouvelle-Écosse.

Le projet est situé sur le site d'amarrage du ferry Marine Atlantic à North Sydney, en Nouvelle-Écosse.

Les travaux comprennent généralement, sans toutefois s'y limiter, l'installation d'un chargeur Grizzle-e et d'une colonne de support en acier.
Plus particulièrement, les travaux comprennent, sans toutefois s'y limiter, les éléments suivants : Installation du chargeur fourni par le propriétaire
1. Effectuez une analyse des services publics souterrains.
2. Creusez un trou pour accueillir un nouveau poteau en acier et une nouvelle semelle en béton.
3. Fournir et installer un nouveau poteau en acier et une semelle en béton.
4. Remblayez la zone excavée et compactez l'enrochement.
5. Fournir et souder le support de montage du chargeur au poteau en acier.
6. Installez le chargeur Grizzl-e 240 V CA/1 P fourni par le propriétaire sur le support de montage conformément aux recommandations du fournisseur.
7. Placez les barrières en jersey fournies par le propriétaire entre le chargeur et la place de stationnement.

Travaux électriques
1. Fournir et installer un nouveau panneau électrique dans la cabane d'alimentation électrique existante. Fournir et installer une nouvelle auge de séparation et débrancher à l'extérieur de la cabane d'alimentation électrique. Auge de séparation pour alimenter le nouveau panneau dans la cabane d'alimentation électrique ainsi qu'un nouveau débranchement pour le chargeur EV.
2. Excaver depuis la cabane d'alimentation électrique jusqu'à l'emplacement du chargeur.
3. Fournir et installer deux conduits allant du poste d'alimentation électrique au chargeur. Un conduit et un fil pour alimenter le chargeur EV, un pour assurer la communication avec le chargeur EV. Nouveau câble de communication à relier au commutateur de communication existant au niveau de la cabane d'alimentation électrique.
4. Remblayer la tranchée au ras des surfaces existantes.
5. Veiller à ce que le chargeur fonctionne comme prévu et démontrer sa fonctionnalité au personnel de Marine Atlantique.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d'accepter les offres en totalité ou en partie. L’offre la plus basse ou toute autre offre ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite des lieux aura lieu le vendredi 19 janvier 2024 à 14 h, heure de l'Atlantique, sur le site de North Sydney, en Nouvelle-Écosse.

La clôture de réception des soumissions sera fixée à 14 h, heure de l'Atlantique, le mardi 30 janvier 2024.

Les propositions doivent être soumises par voie électronique en utilisant MERX EBS.
Ce sera la seule méthode de réponse acceptée pour examen. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont soumises par fax, courrier électronique ou autres formes de communication ouvertes.
Les propositions doivent être reçues avant la date et l’heure de clôture. Les propositions tardives ne seront pas prises en compte.
