The work involves the removal and disposal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) located
in the David Young Building and the Provincial Offices Building at the Selkirk Mental Health
Centre in Selkirk Manitoba. The work areas are located within occupied buildings, but the
work areas will not be in use. Client has advised that work may be carried out during regular
office hours.

bidders are to meet at the Facility Manager’s Office located in the Trades Building, 825 Manitoba Ave.,
Selkirk, Manitoba. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that have not attended the mandatory site
visit.

Bidders must submit with the bid submission or within five (5) business days of the close of bidding
a valid certificate of Risk, Professionally Managed (RPM) or Certificate of Recognition (CORTM) or valid Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECORTM) or Evidence of CORTM equivalency issued in accordance with the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations CORTM program and verified by either the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association Work Safety Program or
the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba. Bidders must also submit a letter of compliance or
exemption from Apprenticeship Manitoba and completed Contractor’s Certification Form –
Legislative and Safety Requirements with the bid submission or within Five (5) business days of the
close of bidding. Failure to submit the required documentation within Five (5) business days may
cause the tender to be rejected.
