Description

Hanover School Division is carrying out a tender for desktop computer systems and potentially laptop computers in two parts – a pre-tender and the tender. This is a pre-tender. All vendors wishing to take part in the tender must participate in the pre-tender. The tender will take place with-in 4 weeks following the completion of the pre-tender. Taking part in the pre-tender requires that you ship Hanover School Division the best computer that meets the minimum specifications as listed below.

Over the past 5 years the Hanover School Division (HSD) has made significant investments in our IT infrastructure to be able to be in a leading position in our ability to deliver new services to our staff and students. This infrastructure investment now allows HSD to begin a second hardware refresh cycle where we will be replacing all desktop hardware over the next 4 school years. This pre-tender is only valid for the 2017-2018 refresh cycle which will take place in July of 2017.

This pre-tender is going to consist of two different hardware types (Desktop vs Laptop). You are welcome to put forth a proposal for one or both of our hardware types. It is important to note that we will only be approving one hardware type for implementation this year. That selection will be part of our tender process and a decision will be made based on price and the value we receive for the unit.

It is very important for you and for us that you send your best computer system(s). ONLY the computer systems tested by Hanover School Division that best meet our needs will be included in the subsequent tender process. Previewing your computer system prior to tender is an important step in instilling confidence that your product is worthy of serious consideration. Computer systems will be thoroughly tested and returned to you.

ALL vendors that have submitted computer systems for testing purposes will be invited to submit tender pricing on the exact computer systems we have selected in the pre-tender. Further directions will be provided during the actual tender.
