Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation is inviting proposals to retain engineering consulting services to complete Environmental Site Assessment for Federal Contaminated Sites Inventory (FCSI) # 7165, FCSI 4299 & FCSI 4610. Different phases of environmental assessment (i.e., ESA-Phase I and/or Phase II and/or Phase III) may be required at each of the sites due to varying historical and current use, contaminants of concern, and timeframe since last investigations.

Proposals are invited at this time, and will be followed by the selection and award of the contract by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). Interested firms must submit digital copies of their proposal to Joshua Hodgson of ISC, joshua.hodgson@sac-isc.gc.ca, by 2:00 PM central time, September 7, 2023.
The Engineering Consultant will perform the work outlined in a substantial, cost-effective, complete and professional manner. The Engineering Consultant must furnish everything necessary for undertaking the work and shall not omit any details necessary for its proper performance and completion, even if specific mention of such details is not made in these Terms of Reference. It is expected that the Engineering Consultant shall employ scientifically defensible, appropriate and reliable investigative practices, and meet or exceed all procedures and environmental quality criteria set out in regulatory guidelines identified in the most recent publications such as the Canada Wide Standards (CWS) for PHCs in Soil developed by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME), National Guidelines for Decommissioning Industrial Sites, Code of Practice for Aboveground and Underground Storage Tank Systems, Environmental Quality Criteria for Contaminated Sites and any other relevant guidelines/standards.
