DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
The Work shall consist in all that is required for the supply of weed control services at Manitoba Hydro facilities and tree control on sub-transmission and distribution right-of-ways consisting of but not limited to, the following ITEMS:
ITEM 1 consists of Work in the Parkland / Westman areas of Manitoba, as defined in Appendix A (1).
ITEM 2 consists of Work in the Interlake / Eastman areas of Manitoba, as defined in Appendix A (2).
ITEM 3 consists of Work in the Winnipeg region, as defined in Appendix A (3).
ITEM 4 consists of Work in the Northman region of Manitoba, as defined in Appendix A (4).
ITEM 5 consists of Work around Manitoba Hydro Generating Stations, as defined in Appendix A (5).
ITEM 6 consists of Work inside and around Manitoba Hydro Converter Stations, as defined in Appendix A (6).
Descriptions of ITEMS of the Work listed above are provided as a general overview. A detailed scope and requirements of the Work are provided in the Technical Requirements. The Work and any ITEM forming part of the Work shall also, in all respects, comply with the terms and conditions of the Contract.
The Purchaser expects the work to commence on or about May 1, 2019 for a period of one (1) year to April 30, 2020. The Purchaser reserves the right to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods, upon mutual agreement between the Contractor and the Purchaser.
