DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
The Work shall consist of providing Contractor’s Personnel, Contractor’s Plant, all materials specified for supply by Contractor and performance of all Subsidiary Obligations necessary to complete Service Requests issued to the Contractor for Work within the MANITOBA HYDRO SOUTH OPERATING AREAS, CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRES AND STATIONS as per APPENDIX B, with the exception of the Winnipeg area (Fort Gary, St. Boniface, City Center) and Northern Manitoba (The Pas, Thompson) including:
- maintain overhead 66 kV sub-transmission lines including but not limited to replacement of poles, cross arms, insulators, transformers, associated hardware and conductor on de-energized lines;
- maintain overhead 25kV and below distribution lines including but not limited to replacement of poles, cross arms, insulators, transformers, associated hardware and conductor on an energized or de-energized system;
- install overhead 66 kV sub-transmission and 25kV and below distribution lines including but not limited to setting of poles, installation of cross arms, insulators, transformers and associated hardware, stringing of the conductor, tensioning of the conductor and tie-in to Purchaser’s existing energized or de-energized system;
- salvage specified re-usable or non-reusable components of the Purchaser’s existing power distribution system;
- install underground facilities directly related to the overhead maintenance and installation Work; and
- provide labour and Contractor’s Plant required to support the Purchaser’s response to emergency situations and, at the Purchaser’s Option exercisable at any time during the Term of this Contract
- provide labour and Contractor’s Plant to move Attachments for other owners from existing to new Purchaser poles exercisable at any time during the Term of this Contract
- provide Pole Setting and Pole/Stub Pulling for projects where Manitoba Hydro performs line work
