DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
Manitoba Hydro is replacing a total of nine (9) single-phase transformers in banks 2, 3, and 4 at Slave Falls Generating Station with three (3) new three-phase transformers. The new transformers will require associated new cooling water and drainage piping.
Manitoba Hydro is issuing this RFS seeking proposals for the replacements and modifications of cooling water and drainage piping for transformer banks 2, 3 & 4 at Slave Falls including but not limited to: the demolition of old piping, installation of new piping, and providing commissioning support to the Purchaser.

Mandatory Criteria:
Manitoba Hydro will review submitted Proposals for compliance with the following mandatory criteria:
- A Qualified Supplier with an effective Framework Agreement for Contractor Services under the Mechanical category.
- Qualified Supplier provides Certificate of Authorization (CoA) issued by the Office of the Fire Commissioner, Inspection Technical Service Manitoba (OFC-ITSM) following approval of its Pressure System Quality Control (PSQC) program. The CoA covers the scope of the work being performed (allowing work on ASME B31.1 systems).
- Qualified Supplier provides evidence that the Welder for the Work possesses a valid ASME Section IX license issued by OFC-ITSM (for pressure piping) as well as a valid CSA W47.1 license (for pipe supports).
