The Township of Schreiber and Number TEN Architectural Group will be pre-qualifying General Contractors for tendering the above-noted project.
The scope of the project includes the construction of a new 131m2 visitor centre on Highway 11/17 in Schreiber, ON. The building is of wood frame construction with a cast-in-place concrete foundation and a free-standing steel frame roof canopy. The project includes the relocation of three rail cars to the site which will be connected to the new building by a deck and interior renovations to one of the rail cars to create an interactive visitor experience. Site development includes building services, parking areas, landscaping, a pedestrian bridge, and a railbed for the relocated rail cars.
General Contractors with familiarity in construction and renovations of a similar scale and complexity are invited to submit for pre-qualification.
General Contractors are invited to submit a Standard CCDC-11 Pre-qualification Statement indicating the following:
- Legal structure of Contractor
- Financial / bonding references
- Annual value of work for the past 5 years
- Principal projects completed in the past 5 years
- Similar or related projects completed
- Major construction projects underway
- Key office staff proposed for this project
- Key site personnel proposed for this project
Attachments to the CCDC-11 are permitted to describe information requested.
Only General Contractors who have been notified of successful pre-qualification will be eligible to submit tenders for the project.
