Proposals will be accepted by Prairie View Municipality for the 2020 Municipal Road Gravel Program.
The 2020 Municipal Road Gravel Program is the supplying, loading, hauling and spreading of municipally approved gravel to designated municipal roads at specified quantities per mile. Municipal maps indicating designated municipal roads and specified quantities per mile will be supplied to bidders.
The Municipality reserves the right to revise designated municipal roads to be gravelled and specified quantities per mile under the Municipal Road Gravel Program.
The Municipality is requesting a total cost per yard3. This cost is to include any fees paid for the acquisition of material required to supply, crush, load, haul and spread approved gravel as well as the applicable Pit and Quarry Rehabilitation Environmental Levy.
A: for approximately 38,825 yards of gravel to be supplied, crushed, loaded, hauled and spread on municipal roads as per gravel maps.
B: for approximately 3,850 yards of gravel to be supplied, crushed, loaded, hauled and spread on provincial roads (PR 355, PR 474, PR 264 & PR 467), these roads will be added to the program provided we receive a signed agreement with Manitoba Infrastructure.
The Municipality proposes to conduct the Municipal Gravel Program before the 2020 Manitoba Infrastructure Spring Road Restrictions (SRR) Program begins. The earliest start date for these road restrictions is March 1, 2020. All gravel hauling associated with Municipal Gravel Program is to be completed by July 15th, 2020.

The Municipality reserves the right to appoint a gravel checker and all crushed gravel hauled by the successful contractor must meet quality approval of the municipality.
