PWS202103 - Maintenance Repair on two Vehicle Bridges in the Municipality of Whitemouth

The RM of Whitemouth are seeking a tender to have repairs done to two of its vehicle bridges, (River Hills Bridge) and (Silver Bridge) which are located in the RM of Whitemouth over the Whitemouth River.  The River Hills Bridge is located on Homestead Rd over the Whitemouth River which is approximately 2 miles South of Seven Sisters, Manitoba.  Silver Bridge is located 1 mile South of Elma, Manitoba on Silver Bridge Rd over the Whitemouth River.  We are looking to receive one tender for both bridge's to get repaired.  

Work Required:
River Hills Bridge, Repair and replace sections of the Railing

• Replace 18 - 8" x 8" x 10' approach rail posts with new treated Fir
• Double up the current single hight approach guardrail on the East end and Southwest end of bridge.
• Install new posts and re-align North West approach rail.
• Replace 8 "W" beam guardrail sections on the bridge.
• Replace 4 damaged transition rail pieces.

• Replace the East side Abutment Cap with a new 12" x 18" x 28' Cap. (current cap is treated Fir)
• Hilti anchor beams into existing concrete abutment.
• Replace East Abutment backwall plank with a new 3" treated Fir.
• Hilti anchor new steel wing wall posts to existing concrete.
• Replace East Abutment Wing Wall planks with new 3" treated Fir.
• Back-fill with new trafic gravel, (approximately 25 yrds, supplied by the RM)
• Repair East side overhead clearence sign bracket.

• Replace the West side Abutment Cap with a new 12" x 18" x 28' Cap. (current cap is treated Fir)
• Hilti anchor beams into existing concrete abutment.
• Replace West Abutment backwall plank with a new 3" treated Fir.
• Replace West Abutment Wing Wall planks with new 3" treated Fir.
• Back-fill with new trafic gravel, (approximately 25 yrds, supplied by the RM)
