D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:

(i) Edmonton Street from Graham Avenue to Portage Avenue
(ii) Kennedy Street from Ellice Avenue to Cumberland Avenue
(c) Streetscaping and Electrical Works
(i) St. Mary Avenue from Edmonton Street to Memorial Boulevard
(ii) Edmonton Street from Broadway to Graham Avenue
(iii) Kennedy Street from Ellice Avenue to Cumberland Avenue
(d) Water Main Renewal
(i) St. Mary Avenue from Edmonton Street to Vaughan Street
(e) Street Lighting Renewals

D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:

(i) Removal of existing pavement;
(ii) Sidewalk removal;
(iii) Construction of temporary asphalt;
(iv) Excavation;
(v) Insulation of water services;
(vi) Installation of sub-drains;
(vii) Installation of traffic signal underground conduit, bases and pits;
(viii) Installation of catch basins and sewer service pipe;
(ix) Placement of separation geotextile fabric and geo-grid;
(x) Placement of sub-base and base course materials;
(xi) Adjustment of utility manholes frames catch basins, manholes, valves and appurtenances;
(xii) Construction of 250mm plain dowel jointed pavement;
(xiii) Construction of 200mm reinforced concrete pavement;
(xiv) Construction of 180mm integral barrier curb;
(xv) Construction of 180 mm integral modified barrier curb at radii;
(xvi) Construction of ramp curbs;
(xvii) Construction of bike separation median;

(b) Pavement Rehabilitation
(i) Planing of existing asphalt;
(ii) Installation of catch basin/catch pits and connection pipe;
(iii) Abandon existing drainage inlets;
(iv) Full-depth concrete repairs of existing joints and slabs;
(v) Removal / Renewal of existing curbs;
(vi) Construction of barrier curb (slip-form paving);
(vii) Construction of bike separation median;
(viii) Construction of 200mm reinforced concrete transit shelter pads;
(ix) Installation of green durable pavement markings;
(x) Renewal of existing sidewalk with blockouts;
(xi) Construction of monolithic curb and concrete sidewalk with block outs;
(xii) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances;
(xiii) Placement of pavement repair fabric as required;
(xiv) Placement of asphalt overlay (Type MS1, 90mm average thickness);
(xv) Installation of Traffic Signals Bases, Service Pits and Conduits;
(xvi) Boulevard restoration.
(c) Streetscaping and Electrical Works
(i) Construction of structural soil system;
(ii) Installation of various paving stones in concrete blockouts;
(iii) Removal of trees;
(iv) Installation of electrical conduit and wiring for pedestrian lights
(v) Installation of pedestrian lighting
(vi) Installation of wayfinding posts
(d) Water Main Renewal
(i) Installation of 250 mm PVC Pipe;
(ii) Installation of Hydrant Assemblies, Gate Valves, and Other Appurtenances;
(iii) Reconnection of Water Services;
(iv) Tie into existing Water Mains;
(v) Removal of existing Hydrants;
(vi) Abandonment of existing Gate Valves; and
(vii) Flushing Hydrostatic Leakage Testing, and Disinfection of new Water Main.
(e) Street Lighting Renewals
(i) Installation of temporary lighting poles and overhead connections
(ii) Removal of existing street light poles and bases; and
(iii) Installation of new conduit, bases and poles.
