Cleaning requirements for the Flin Flon Airport Terminal building
The following shall be provided on a weekly basis for all areas of the Airport Terminal Building, excluding the baggage cart area. The Airport will supply all cleaning products and paper products:
-All Flooring shall be swept/vacuumed and cleaned, to the wall edges and corners. Carpeted mats and office chair mats shall be lifted and set aside for this task to be completed. Carpet mats shall be vacuumed, office mats shall be washed and set aside while the floor dries.
- All flooring shall be washed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. Example: use clean, lukewarm water with neutral cleaning solution and a damp mop. See attachment for specific manufacturer recommendations for new Tarkett Flooring
-Wash glass surfaces inside building.
- All wall areas shall be wiped clean of markings.
- All sinks, basins and toilets shall be cleaned. Porcelain surfaces shall be cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom.All furniture shall be cleaned thoroughly as to always provide an excellent appearance.
The following shall be provided as needed:
Wash all painted walls at a minimum once a year.
Maintain clean mop heads/broom heads by washing as necessary
Thorough dusting of horizontal surfaces otherwise missed in weekly cleaning. Example: baseboard heater covers, desks, etc. at a minimum twice a year.
The following shall be provided under a separate contract as required:
Waxing and buffing of the floors.

- Office area cleaned twice a week
- Washroom and lunchroom cleaned twice a week
- All garbage to be disposed of in the dumpster
- All cleaning involves: sweeping, washing, dusting, and disinfecting
- All wall and windowsill areas shall be wiped clean of all markings, and dust always
- All toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers to filled as needed.
The Contractor shall maintain a policy of insurance satisfactory to the City of Flin Flon in the amount of at least $2,000,000 inclusive.
The Contractor and employees shall be bonded.
The Contractor shall be covered with insurance under the Workers Compensation Act of Manitoba.
