Description

The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (“LGCA”) is issuing this request for proposals (“RFP”) in preparation for a research project on the topic of cannabis use among older adults. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified research organizations (“candidates”) to conduct focus group research to more deeply understand cannabis use behaviour, and any associated stigma, among older adult Manitobans (“project”).

The LGCA requires a total of eight in-person focus groups in Winnipeg (4), Brandon (2), Portage la Prairie (1) and Thompson (1). The scope of the work includes developing screening guides, reviewing and providing feedback on a discussion guide, recruiting participants, booking meeting space, moderating the focus groups, recording focus groups, verbatim transcription, conducting qualitative coding and thematic analysis of transcripts, and providing a 5–8-page written report summarizing key themes and findings.

Information on pricing and costs must not be included with the rest of the project proposal. This information must be submitted by email to finance@LGCAmb.ca with the subject line: “Older Adults and Cannabis Use Focus Groups Research Compensation.” Compensation submissions must be received by the submission deadline stated above and will be reviewed after all project proposals are evaluated.

Please note that the project proposal may be a maximum of 30 pages, including any cover pages and appendices. The “Compensation” information is not included in this page maximum.
