The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to invite qualified, experienced, and innovative businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations to submit proposals to operate outdoor recreation and service-based business opportunities at Lakers Park, located within the Rural Municipality and Town of Lac du Bonnet.
Through this RFP, the RM and the Town seek to activate and enhance Lakers Park as a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable recreational destination by introducing a range of complementary services and amenities. These may include, but are not limited to, food and beverage services, outdoor equipment rentals, guided recreational experiences, and retail or specialty vendors.
The intent of this RFP is to: Improve visitor experience and public enjoyment of Lakers Park; Support local economic development and tourism; Encourage environmentally responsible and inclusive recreational services; Establish concession, lease, permit, or revenue-sharing agreements with selected proponents. This RFP is not intended to procure a fixed-price service on behalf of the RM or the Town. Rather, it seeks proposals from operators who will independently manage and deliver their business operations in alignment with municipal objectives, policies, and site guidelines. The RM and the Town reserve the right to select one or multiple proponents and to negotiate agreement terms appropriate to the nature and scale of the proposed services.
