This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Coordinating Entity to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Housekeeping Equipment Maintenance Services, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The Coordinating Entity, as identified on the cover page, is issuing this RFP and administering the RFP process on behalf of the Purchaser(s) identified in Section B – Material Disclosures of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D).
The selected Proponent(s) will be required to provide Housekeeping Equipment Maintenance Services for various brands of scrubbers (walk-behind), burnishers (walk-behind, sit & stand ride-on, and hand-held), polishers, steamers, wet-vacuums, vacuums, carpet extractors, and other housekeeping equipment as required. These services are required to extend the life, minimize breakdowns, and improve the overall efficiency of the equipment while reducing operation costs. The Services may include but not limited to:
- Troubleshooting, Diagnostic, Maintenance, and Repair Services, including the restoration or replacement of parts necessitated by wear and tear, damage, or failure of parts.
- Preventative Maintenance Services, on a prescribed schedule, as requested by the Purchaser.
- Supply and Delivery of Parts, as required by the Purchaser
The preference is one (1) Supplier will be selected as the awarded supplier. The Coordinating Entity reserves the right to award each region separately.
Proponents are advised that should it be determined that other Sites within the regional health authorities within Manitoba and/or other public entities within the Province of Manitoba will require the same or similar products as outlined in this RFT for the purposes of ensuring compatibility, Shared Health may not issue another competitive bid.
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years, with an option in favour of the Purchaser to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional option terms of one (1) year each.
The awarded Agreement(s) is anticipated to commence April 1, 2026.
In consideration of Shared Health’s procurement policies and applicable trade agreements, for this Solicitation, preference will be given to Canadian and Non-US suppliers who have submitted compliant submissions meeting all essential requirements of the solicitation. Shared Health may re-issue this tender at its sole discretion.
