D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the following while the pool area of the facility is closed to the public while the remainder of the facility will reman open to the public
(a) Development and maintenance of plan and procedures for:
(i) Safety and health,
(ii) Site security,
(iii) Site access,
(iv) Dust control from dust and silica generating activities.
(b) Coordinate with the Contract Administrator for emptying and filling of the pool tank water as follows:
(i) Contractor to schedule tank emptying and filling through the Contract Administrator. Provide three Working Days notice.
(ii) City of Winnipeg pool facilities staff will empty and fill the tank water.
(iii) Contractor remains responsible to ensure City staff follow tile, waterproofing, andsetting bed manufacturer’s directions during tank emptying and filling.
(iv) Contractor remains responsible to ensure City staff maintain a rate of tank filling and emptying at a rate not to exceed 75 cm per 24 hours and the difference in water temperature and adjacent tile surface temperature does not exceed 10°C.
(c) Removal and replacement of existing mortar bed, waterproofing, ceramic tiles and grout of the pool area within limit shown on Drawings,
(d) Removal, salvage, storage, and re-installation of existing railings, ladders and deck fixtures associated with the pool area renewal,
(e) Removal and replacement of existing pool system plumbing fixtures within limits shown on Drawings,
(f) Removal and replacement of existing electrical as shown on Drawings,
(g) Removal and infilling of existing through tank wall light fixtures,
(h) Shoring or removal, salvage, protection, storage and reinstallation of existing tank divider bulkheads.
(i) Concrete repairs to the pool deck, and tank walls and floor,
(j) Concrete repairs to the diving tower,
(k) Removal and replacement of pool area grounding system,
(l) Concrete repair and replacement of ceramic tiling to the North wall of the Splash Pad Area. To be co-ordinated during a facility closure with not public access. Dates to be determined.
D2.2 The following shall apply to the Services:
(a) City of Winnipeg Green Building Policy: New City-Owned Buildings and major additions;

D2.3 The funds available for this contract are $1,880,000.00.
