The Sagkeeng First Nation is calling for tenders for construction of about 2.7 km of shoreline erosion protection on Traverse Bay near PTH11 and Catfish Creek (Zone 14 U, 685938 E, 5610702 N). The work is to be completed over the remainder of this winter (2018) referred to as Stage 1 and the winter 2018/2019 referred to as Stage 2. Major Work items include:
- Haul material produced by others (about 13,000 tonnes of large stone riprap and 8000 tonnes of 200 mm down crushed granular).
- Blast, process, crush, stockpile, and haul the following quarried material for the works to be completed during the winter of 2018/2019
Large Stone Riprap – 49,000 tonnes
200 mm down crushed granular – 20,000 tonnes
- Excavate bank along shoreline and dispose of spoil on-site (32,000 cu.m)
- Install and place geotextile along graded bank (26,000 sq. m)
- Construct erosion protection using 200 mm down granular and riprap
- Site restoration (using topsoil, seed, and erosion control blankets)
Tenders will be opened immediately following bid closing and read at TREK’s office in Winnipeg. A Bid Security in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of Total Bid Price shall accompany the tender. Contract security and bid bonds will be required by the successful bidder as outlined in the tender.
Bidder shall review the submission requirements within the tender.
