Description

The Site is currently held in trust by the Government of Canada and consists of four land parcels; specifically, Parcel 1,
5A/C, 10 and 12, which are part of the Turton Penn Leasehold of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory that
is located in the vicinity of Shannonville, Ontario, north of the Salmon River. The parcels are slated to be
transferred to MBQ. The parcels are generally located in residential and/or woodland settings, with one
located on a commercial parcel (former gas station). Surrounding land uses include mixed commercial,
residential and wooded areas. Project activities include the excavation and hauling of contaminated soil to an approved facility, backfilling with "clean" fill and final restoration.
