The Eastern Irrigation District is in the process of constructing an Emergency Spillway at the Bassano Dam.
Major work items for this contract will include the following (approximation):
1. Cast in Place Concrete Structure 13,750 m3
2. Install Radial Gates and Hoists 10 each
3. Supply and Install Precast Bridge Deck 1 LS
4. Install Stop Log Bulkheads 10 each
5. Supply and Install Gantry Crane 1 each
6. Supply and Install Drainage Manholes 6 each
7. Structure Excavation 50,000 m3
8. Structure Backfill 34,000 m3
9. Supply and Place Riprap 17,500 tonnes
10. Supply and Place Bedding Gravel 9,300 tonnes
11. Supply and Place Filter Gravel 15,500 tonnes
12. Electrical and Controls 1 LS

• Completed Contractor Qualification Form (Appendix A)
• Mandatory Documentation
o Letter from Bonding Company (on bonding company’s letterhead)
o Letter from Insurance Company (on insurance company’s letterhead)
o WCB Clearance Letter
o Certificate of Recognition from the Alberta Construction Safety Association
(or equivalent association from other jurisdictions)
o Declaration of Conflict of Interest
