RFQ No. 20-018 - Supply of Key Cylinders and Keys

Due to the age of the University Campus, the MRU Facilities and Security teams’ have relied on Best Hardware for its’ security standard hardware requirements. Although technically another manufacturer could supply keys and key cylinders for this project, the impacts (i.e. – delivery time, new hardware of key cutting equipment, training of staff, software application compatibility, financial commitment, etc.) would be haphazard and a major risk to the security of MRU.

Throughout the years, the campus has discovered that there have been a large amount of master keys and unfortunately lost master keys that provide a high level of access across MRU. Thus, the objective of this project is to supply keys and key cylinders for the entire Mount Royal University campus. The project will enable better security and restrict access to specific areas on campus where required.

No consultant is required for this project. MRU is looking at replacing its’ key cylinders and keys for the entire campus in which the staff of MRU will complete the work.
