To meet the growing recreational needs of its expanding population, the Municipality of North Grenville invites qualified and experienced consulting firms to submit proposals for the detailed design of a state-of-the-art recreational sports dome facility. This project will deliver a multi-purpose, year-round complex designed to support soccer, multi-sport activiites, fitness, and community programming.
The successful propenent will be responsible for the detailed design of a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose recreational sports dome facility including:
* 125,000 sq. ft. dome structure (500' x 250' x 75' height) with an expansive 400' x 75' skylight.
* 35,000 sq. ft. multi-sport hard courts for pickleball, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and badminton.
* three-lane walking track around the perimeter of the soccer field.
* 5,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, including change rooms, washrooms, officies, and metting space, connected via a weather-proof passageway.
* 220+ space parking lot designed to accommodate major events.
The design package must:
* address architectrual, structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical systems
* consider accessibility and barrier-free design in compliance with AODA standards
* incorporate energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational cost considerations
* provide Class D costing to support project budgeting and decision-making
* include tender-ready documents, suitable for use in soliciting construction bids, including detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules.
