ORION is a not-for-profit organization supporting Ontario’s progress with essential digital infrastructure. The key objectives of ORION are to facilitate collaborative research across disciplines and regions and between public and private sector partners; facilitate development of innovative research tools and methodologies and act as a catalyst for development of next-generation Internet technologies and applications.
ORION is seeking DIA/IP Transit Vendor(s) to provide the following service(s) indicated below. Vendors may respond to providing Quotation(s) for either a Transit 1 location and/or a Transit 2 location.
Transit 1 location:
ORION’s PoP located at 151 Front Street West, Toronto, ON, MMR1
100G Optical Ethernet Access/handoff, 50G subscribed bandwidth, burstable to 100G.
Vendor’s DIA/IP Transit must be located at 151 Front.
Transit 2 locations:
100G Optical Ethernet Access/handoff, 50G subscribed bandwidth, burstable to 100G.
Vendors responding to providing DIA/IP Transit services for both Transit 1 and Transit 2 must also ensure their services are utilizing diverse IXPs.
ORION has identified 5 optional ORION PoP locations for Transit 2 connectivity below.
Vendors may provide solutions for any of the PoP locations, but ORION will choose just one location.
