Description

This Advanced Contract Award Notice (“ACAN”) is an invitation to prospective Respondents to submit Statements of Capabilities for the provision of an Electron Gun System as further described in ACAN 2023-25. This ACAN indicates to the supplier community that the University intends to award a contract for these goods to a pre-identified supplier. An electron gun is a device which accelerates electrons to necessary speeds for radiolysis. An electron gun system (comprised of the gun, controller and vacuum pump) will need to produce a beam of electrons with enough kinetic energy such that an appreciable portion of them can pass through a window that separates the vacuum (where the electrons are accelerated) to the chamber that holds the methane.
