This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the University of Ottawa (the “University”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 43034-2a- Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing open platform with powder and substrate in-situ preconditioner as further described in Appendix D (RFP Particulars) Section A (the “Deliverables”).
The successful proponent shall design, manufacture and deliver a high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system.
The successful proponent shall design, manufacture and deliver a high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system being “Goods”. The high-pressure Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing system being requested is a key asset for enabling advanced material deposition, precision component repair, and near-net shape additive manufacturing. The system should be designed to include a high-pressure, high-temperature Cold Spray gun with powder preconditionning, a high-pressure powder feeder, a 6-axis robotic arm, and a control system with an integrated programmable logic controller (PLC). It will be installed within an acoustic enclosure (that has to be included) and feature a multi-angle camera system for enhanced process visibility and quality assurance. Compared to the current equipment in the lab, this system significantly expands material compatibility and processing capability. The University is also requesting “Services” as described in the Responsibility Matrix below.
