Description:
The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified vendors to submit a proposal for Four (4X) 10-15 litre Anaerobic Bioreactors.
The Anaerobic Bioreactors will support the ongoing research at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Engineering, on the application of anaerobic digestion (AD) process for biogas/bio-hydrogen production from organic wastes. Organic wastes will be degraded through AD process and converted to methane and carbon oxide. The remaining organic wastes will be in the form of liquid digestate. The quantity of the produced biogas will be measured. The collected biogas will be characterized to determine methane and carbon oxide content.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Four (4) 10–15-liter Anaerobic Bioreactors
1.1 - The bioreactors must provide continuous or semi-continuous operation capability under anaerobic conditions.
1.2 - Each bioreactor must be equipped with a mechanical mixing device, a discharge valve, an anti-foaming system, and sampling ports for digestate/sludge from working space and gas from head space, a couple of ports to install a probe if needed, a gas flow meter, a gas quality analysis (CO2, CH4, O2) module to characterize the produced biogas with an automatic and software platform for data collection, a temperature probe and temperature control system (25°−60° Celius), a pH probe and pH control system, and an additional port to install a probe.
2.Requirements
2.1 - Must include Installation, testing and commissioning of the system at the designated site
2.2 - Provision of technical support during the warranty period and beyond. The maximum acceptable repair time for addressing breakdowns or technical issues with the system must not exceed 30 business days.
2.3 - Supplier must provide a Warranty coverage for a minimum of 3 years
