Statement of Work – Professional Services and Support for OWC

Project Objective
The purpose of this work is to provide guidance and support to OWC. OWC is a consortium of post-secondary institutions that works closely with private sector water technology companies to advance technology development, validation, and adoption. OWC is developing new programs and partnership models, and new service offerings to water technology companies. It is seeking strategic guidance and expertise related to the needs of Ontario water technology companies for successful technology commercialization to inform, enhance and successfully implement OWC’s new strategic and operating plans.
The primary objectives of this project are to work closely with OWC’s leadership to achieve organizational sustainability. Specifically, to support OWC’s:

1. Growth strategy development and execution.
2. Technology development programs and funding, including identifying strategic research topics, forming research consortium and developing grant application strategies, and overseeing grant submission and program execution.
3. Business development initiatives, particularly forming strong partnerships with key industry partners.

1. extensive experience in senior leadership roles in corporate strategy, innovation, technology development, commercialization, and overall leadership and engagement in the Canadian and international water industry.
2. global experience in successful water technology research, technology development, and commercialization.
3. creating multi-stakeholder industry driven technology commercialization and research collaborations or consortia, and providing expert guidance to navigate the funding landscape, and to lead funding proposals that are masterfully positioned to have the maximum chance of success.
4. a winning track record in the development and pursuit of government and non-government sources of funding and grants.
5. unique strategic insight into domestic and international water innovation ecosystems, particularly in Ontario, and key areas of strengths and drivers, key individuals, and opportunities and risks.
6. the ability to leverage an extensive global network of leading academics, thought leaders, and influencers.
