Description

The Plant Ecology Lab of the Biology department uses controlled-environment growth chambers to study a wide variety of plant species, from Arabidopsis thaliana to Solanum sp. to tree seedlings. The lab has obtained funding for the purchase of a Walk-in Growth Chamber with approximate internal growing area of up to 10m2 for experiments requiring large sample sizes. This unit will be used primarily for research. The University of Waterloo is interested in getting two bids for alternate options: Option A with fluorescent and incandescent lights and Option B with LED lights. The University of Waterloo will select one option, either Option A or Option B in its sole determination as to which option best meets its needs.
