IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS RE. BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Due to the impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary measures are being taken on-site at the Ontario Region Bid Receiving Unit to encourage social distancing. The health and safety of staff and suppliers remains our top priority.

Suppliers are required to submit bids electronically using the Canada Post epost Connect application for the subject bid solicitation. This service allows suppliers to submit bids, offers and arrangements electronically to PWGSC Bid Receiving Units. This online service enables the electronic transfer of large files up to Protected B level.

To use epost Connect to submit your bid, or to get more information on its use, please send an email to the Ontario Region Bid Receiving Unit’s generic address at TPSGC.orreceptiondessoumissions-orbidreceiving.PWGSC@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca.

Faxed and hard copy (submitted in person or via mail/courier) bids will not be accepted for the subject bid solicitation.

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement to establish a Regional Master Standing Offer for the supply of Meat, Poultry and Fish Products to Authorized Users.

Below is a list of provinces and territories who have shown interest in making call-ups against the Standing Offer:

• Province of Ontario

- The Ontario Region has been divided into 6 zones: Southern Ontario (1), Central Ontario (2), North Western Ontario (3), North Eastern Ontario (4), National Capital Region (5), and Eastern Ontario (6);

- The Offeror can submit pricing on as many or as few line items as they wish for each zone they are providing an offer;

- The Request for Standing Offer may result in the issuance of up to three (3) Standing Offers per zone;

- The Standing Offer holders will be given the opportunity to rebid their pricing on a quarterly basis as outlined in Annex B; and

- The period of the Standing Offer is from December 01, 2020 to May 31, 2021.

This RFSO allows offerors to use the epost Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit their offers electronically. Offerors must refer to Part 2 of the RFSO entitled Offeror Instructions and Part 3 of the RFSO entitled Offer Preparation Instructions, for further information on using this method.
