Description

The Municipality of Kincardine is requesting responses to the RFP for the provision of an Impact Assessment of the Kincardine Breakwater.

The breakwall is in a significant state of disrepair and Council is looking to make an informed decision with regards to the viability of either repairing the breakwall or removing the breakwall. The decision will be based on information received with regards to potential impacts that could exist if the breakwater is removed such as increased wave agitation within the marina basin as well as the potential for increased wave agitation within the marina basin and alteration of nearshore coastal processes, particularly sediment transport, along with financial costs and implications.
