Description of Work :

Scope

This requirement is for the provision of one (1) Technical Writer – Level 3 to provide Technical Writing and Editing skills in order to help with the documentation of our Quality Management Program project documentation and Program material.

Tasks

Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

Analyze material, such as specifications (technical Statement of Work/Requirement), notes, drawings, writing manuals, user guides and other documents to explain the requirement clearly and concisely

Modify, validate and compile documents such as technical publications in general, specifications, equipment and system data lists, drawings etc.

Gather information, analyzing the subject and the audience, and producing clear documentation

Study existing material and interview Stakeholders

Create accurate, complete and concise documentation to communicate the needs of the requirement

Assimilate and convey technical material in a concise, effective manner

Follow governmental publishing guidelines

Review documents, drawings and associated data for conformance to established standards

Plan, research and write manuals, specifications and other non-journalistic articles

Design the layout of the documents/manuals

Use word-processing, desk-top publishing and graphics software packages to produce final copy

Develop content ideas while being mindful of the target audience (e.g., Senior Executives, working group, software designers)

Read content and correct for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar

Review materials to meet plain language requirements

Rewrite copy, as needed, to make it easier to understand

Verify facts, using standard reference sources and other SSC published material

Work with Business Architects to help their documents succeed

Approve final versions of documents submitted by staff

Other tasks as determined by the QMP Lead
