The City of Fredericton (COF) is requesting a Proposal from Consultants who have the expertise and knowledge of the City, the COF Municipal Plan and Growth Strategy, Recreation Master Plan, NBEX Plan, Park Plans and Ball Fields Needs Assessment and Feasibility Study, and is interested in undertaking a study and submit a report for existing and future (10 year) needs for cricket field infrastructure. This would include a review of the existing areas used as cricket fields, interview
stakeholders, engage user groups and staff members to establish current and projected infrastructure use needs/demands and future usage. Key deliverables will include: user group engagement, a comprehensive demand analysis, facility needs assessment, addressing sport tourism opportunities, and the identification of site option(s) and associated costs (including the identification of funding models, potential funding partnerships and all other funding opportunities such as grants).

The City of Fredericton has recently completed a Parks and Recreation Assets Condition and Valuation Study as well as a Ball Fields Needs Assessment and Feasibility Study. This information will be provided to the successful consultant for use in determining the feasibility component of the report.
