The Commission requires the services of a construction management consultant to manage the construction phases of the following:
Phase 6
A potable water line with all appurtenances from the existing Commission line to the Village of Edberg, approximately 12.5 kilometers in length. A connection will be made to the existing 150mm line just north of Ferintosh, and the line will be installed in the ROW along Highway 609 and connect to the existing Village reservoir. Construction is anticipated to commence in the spring of 2021, and be completed by early fall of 2021. Anticipated number of construction days = 120 days.
Phase 7
A potable water line with all appurtenances from the existing Commission line to the Village of Clive, approximately 24 kilometers in length. Several routing options are available and will require analysis to determine the most appropriate route. Connection points will vary depending on the routing and hydraulics involved.
Two options are being considered and tendered:
Option 1
A 200 mm line in the Highway ROW to the Hamlet of Tees. A booster station with redundant pumping in the Hamlet of Tees, and a further extension of a 150 mm line to the Village of Clive. Length of pipeline = 23.6 km.
Option 2
A 250 mm line from the Village of Alix to the Hamlet of Tees, then a shifted alignment carries on with the 250 mm line on an alignment north of the Hamlet along the lowest available road allowance and into the Village of Clive from the north where it connects to the Village pump house located centrally in the Village. This option negates the need for pumping and delivers the water via natural total dynamic head created by an equalization tank located on the highest part of the system South of the Village of Alix. Length of Pipeline = 25.1 km
Anticipated number of construction days = 120.
It is anticipated that these projects will be installed concurrently.
