Description

The City of Burnaby invites Proposals from qualified and experienced Consultants to undertake a study of the City's Green Assets and develop an Urban Forestry Management Plan. This plan will be based on a comprehensive study of both the City's boulevard planted trees and the City's park forested trees.

The intent of this study is to establish a baseline information and to format actions and timelines needed to enhance and preserve the City's urban forest while meeting its climate action goal for 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality. This plan will be implemented over a 29 year time frame and in several stages prioritized by the information gathered during the study, consultation with municipal staff, and discussions with stakeholders and the community.
