21-1583 - The Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant (BBWWTP) Integrated Resource Recovery Study

1. This RFP is open to pre-qualified firms only. Proponents are invited who have been pre-qualified based on specific information previously submitted through The City’s Prequalification for Engineering and Architectural Consultants RFPQ 06-006. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that have achieved a pre-qualified status in the following discipline(s): Waste Water Treatment Plants. 2. The City of Calgary (“The City”) is seeking a qualified firm to provide engineering consulting services for the Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant (BBWWTP) Integrated Resource Recovery Study. Phase 1 of The City’s proposed work plan involves the development of a Nutrient Recovery and/or Struvite Mitigation Study and a long-term Integrated Resource Recovery Framework.
The Nutrient Recovery and/or Struvite Mitigation Study work package includes a feasibility study, strategy selection, conceptual design, and implementation and constructability plans to address urgent struvite issues at the BBWWTP. The proposed long-term Integrated Resource Recovery Framework work package scope includes problem analysis, identification of options and development of a framework that maximizes resource recovery opportunities within the context of existing constraints of The City’s infrastructure.

3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.”
