Notice is hereby given that Fraser Health Authority (the "Health Authority"), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide an upgrade to the existing Building Automation System (BAS) at D Building at Surrey Memorial Hospital for an estimated value of $78,624.36.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

· the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:

To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative.

Rationale:

Johnson Controls is the exclusive authorized supplier for the sales and support of the current Metasys HVAC Building Automation System (BAS) at D Building at Surrey Memorial Hospital. No other third-party vendors are authorized to support the Metasys BAS.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Karl Eadie, Buyer, Sourcing by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, December 13 2021. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
