Description

The Government of Ontario is releasing a Request for Bids for the provision of English to French and French to English translation services.
Scope of Work
The majority of English to French and French to English translation services in the Government of Ontario are provided through suppliers holding a contract with the Government of Ontario.

The type of documents requiring translation varies from reports general or technical in nature, to correspondence, manuals, legal agreements, questionnaires, brochures, forms, web pages, and news releases. Some of these documents also require proofreading.

The approximate volume of English to French translation work performed for the Government of Ontario is 4,125,000 million words and 2,900 hours per year, for a yearly average of nearly 3,700 assignments.

The approximate volume of French to English translation work is about 5% of the volume of English to French translation work.
