The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) requires audience measurement data on the listenership of radio, viewership of television services and online services across Canada to inform its policy development and application. Without these data, the CRTC would have difficulty making informed policy, licensing and dispute resolution decisions.
