172450 - Construction of accessible concrete ramp at Mile 108 Elementary School.

School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) is requesting tender submissions to construct new exterior concrete ramps at the north side of the Mile 108 Elementary School at 4958 Easzee Drive in 108 Mile Ranch, B.C. Refer to the Form of Tender + the architectural & structural drawings provided, and Bidders are encouraged to visit the site at their discretion to fully familiarize themselves with the site conditions before submitting a Bid. 

The Bid submission is to provide a breakdown to provide a quotation for the construction of the upper (south-most) ramps and a quotation for the construction of the lower (north-most) ramps as the School District may, at their discretion, proceed with only one. Completion of all construction, including restoration of adjacent areas affected by the Work, is to occur no later than Friday, 1 September 2023 to accommodate resumption of classes.

Exterior guard/handrails are to be fabricated from galvanized steel with paint finish, free of distortion of section, with flush, smooth joints. Tie new railings into existing where they are a continuation. Submit shop drawings signed/sealed by a Professional Engineer registered in the Province of British Columbia. Indicate materials, core thicknesses, finishes, connections, joints, methods of anchorage, number of anchors, supports, reinforcement, details, and accessories.
