24-CJS-InterpreterStgy-01 - Interpreter Strategy for Alberta Courts RFP

Court and Justice Services (CJS) is a division within the Ministry of Justice that supports the provision of Services in the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal (the Courts). The Court Operations areas of CJS are responsible for ensuring language interpretation is available when required for parties in a legal proceeding.
The department requires one (1) Contractor to develop a strategy that will assist CJS in updating its policies and procedures related to the provision of interpreter Services in the Courts.

The primary objective of the strategy is to develop a new model for Court interpreter Services, to address each of the following:
• Procurement of Services,
• Quality control of Services,
• Scheduling of service-providers, and
• Ongoing evaluation of Services.
CJS requires the Contractor to submit the completed report within six (6) months of the Contract start date.
