The Flight Framework is the first early learning and childcare curriculum in Alberta. It was developed by a MacEwan research team who purposefully sought broad community engagement. Flight is a curriculum framework intended to guide the significant work of early learning and childcare educators working with young children (ages 0 – before 6 years) and their families in center-based childcare and family day home settings. This is a flexible framework for thinking about how children learn and experience their worlds, and for fostering strong and diverse early childhood communities.
The MacEwan research team continues to engage early learning and childcare communities in the development of community-based curriculum resources representative of Alberta’s diversity.
It is the intent of MacEwan University to obtain proposals from Proponents on their capability, methodology and related experience in providing Website Content and Resource Design for content provided by the research team. The team has an established brand that is recognizable within Alberta’s broad early learning community. It is imperative that new curriculum resources align with current branding as further community engagements result in diverse resources representative of Alberta families.
