Description

The Summer Village of Sunbreaker Cove is seeking the services of a qualified construction company to undertake removal and disposal of two existing set of wooden outdoor stairways. These stairways have been identified as a safety risk and the goal is to remove them in 2024.
The assets identified that are near the end of their lifecycle are 2 existing wooden stairways located in Sunbreaker Cove, adjacent to the Sylvan Lake shoreline. The successful contractor will provide a team of experienced professionals to provide services for this important initiative.
The existing stairways currently provide important lake front access and is a prominent feature in Sunbreaker Cove. The stairway provides a waterfront pedestrian connection as part of the Village’s overall trail network and is used year-round. Each stairway was originally constructed with wooden material years ago.(date is unknown)
It is the intent of the Village to remove stairway 1 and 2 locations completely and is open to options for improvements for stairway 3.This new initiative will establish and enhance the public space for visitors and make it safer for residents. Any landscaping options are to be included in the cost for stairway 3
