Notice is hereby given that the Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), PHSA acting on its own behalf, intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide support, maintenance, and web hosting services for the Indigenous Cultural Safety training program for a term of three (3) plus two (2) one (1) year options years at an estimated value of $6,048,000.00. Animikii Inc. c/o theDock Centre for Social Impact 100-722 Cormorant St Victoria, BC V8W 1P8 In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, acting on its own behalf, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason: • the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason: To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative. Rationale The product was developed by the incumbentsupplierincluding custom coding. As such, maintenance, support and hosting services can only be provided by this vendor. This is a custom-built platform specific to the needs of the San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training. The program, including dashboards, created by Animikii is proprietary and is unique to the needs of the aboriginal population.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of Dale Johnston, Buyer, Procurement, IMIT, Facilities, Support Services, Food and Housekeeping, by email before 2:00pm Pacific Time, April 4th, 2024.
