Description

To ensure the Province is in a constant state of preparedness regarding wildfire pre-suppression and suppression activities. Alberta Forestry and Parks, invites formal written proposals to provide two (2) trained and qualified sustained action Firetack crews, consisting of one Leader, one Sub-leader and six crew members, (collectively the "crew"), to work under the direction of the Province throughout the two-year term of this Agreement and to be based in Fort McMurray Forest Area. The crew shall provide fire suppression services and other project work which may include but is not limited to, brush clearing, preparation of fire breaks and manual labour.

The Department intends to enter into one contract for each of the two crews. The successful Vendor for each agreement shall be guaranteed a total of 93 days of work subject to the terms of the Agreement.

Vendors shall demonstrate in their Proposal that they have a clear understanding of this RFP and the services required.
